2011 Land Rover Freelander photos

Expect the facelifted Land Rover Freelander to be available this summer. The styling modifications are minor and are concentrated on the front and rear ends. Land Rover gave this model a redesigned front grille, revised bumpers and LED daytime running lights.

There won’t be a change to the range of engines offered but there would be combined power and economy improvements of up to 15%. Land Rover is currently focused on developing the LRX, the first ever two-wheel drive Land Rover. Expect it to go on sale this autumn. The LRX is a coupe that will be sized much like the Golf.

The good: The 2010 BMW X6 M corners like cars half its size and hits 60 mph in less than 4.5 seconds. The navigation system has nicely textured topographical maps and finds routes around bad traffic.

The bad: At below 17 mpg, fuel economy is terrible in the X6 M. The vehicle's design isn't terribly practical, combining the ungainliness of an SUV with the tight interior of a coupe.
