aston martin db9

The Aston Martin DB9 was the first ever model to be manufactured at the Aston Martin Gaydon factory set in Warwickshire, England. For those who are wondering what the initials ‘DB’ mean, they stand for David Brown, who owned the Aston Martin brand for a major part of its illustrious history. The actual design of the Aston Martin DB9 was put forth by Ian Callum, but after his leave, it was completed and perfected by Henrik Fisker, who succeeded him as the executive designer.

The Aston Martin DB9 also has a special place in the hearts of Englishmen. In the English Television show, Top Gear, the car was dubbed too cool for the show’s ‘Cool Wall’ segment, and it received its own special place amongst the best of the best and got its own category which was known as the ‘DB9 Super Cool Fridge’. This was actually portrayed as a refrigerator with the card of the car stored in it.
