The first 2011 Opel Ampera have been built. Pre-production model is the Chevrolet Volt on the production line at GM’s assembly plant in Warren, Michigan and will be used for testing. Like the Volt, Opel / Vauxhall Ampera can deliver up to 37 milesof pure electric driving before the small displacement gasoline engine / generator kicks in.It scheduled to go on sale in Europe in late 2011.
